LIVER FLUSH
Overview:
Liver Flush is used to cleanse and support your horses liver. The liver is the site of detoxification of drugs (e.g. steroids), synthesis of proteins, glycogen and fats. The liver is the most metabolically active organ in the horse. In order to have a HEALTHY HORSE it is important that the liver be functioning at its peak efficiency.

Ingredients

Milk Thistle / Cleans the liver. One known active is Silymarin, which is a potent antioxidant especially effective in the liver.
This herb was added to the formulation because during the cleansing process, the rate of excretion (i.e. breakdown/detoxification) of body metabolites will increase, generating a greater than normal level of free radials.

Polygonum multiflorum (Ho Shou Wu/Fo Ti) / his herb has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to "tonify" and replenish the "vital energy" to the liver.
Studies have shown that this herb can increase blood flow to the liver, which increases the rate of toxin drainage from the liver.

Burdock / This herb has traditionally been used as a blood cleanser and a purifier for the liver.

Dandelion / Increases bile production and flow as well as the rate of clearance of the liver, since bile is produced as a result of liver function.
Studies have shown this herb also exhibits a protective effect on the liver and is able to reverse mild cases of liver cirrhosis.

Artemisia capillaris / Increases secretion of bile into the gastrointestinal tract, thus aiding the liver in draining its waste products.
This herb in combination with Gardenia jasminoidis has been shown to increase the rate of liver cell regeneration.

Fuctus lycii chinensis / Acts to protect liver cells and hence liver function. In traditional Chinese medicine, this herb has been used to treat liver ailments.

Gardenia jasminoidis / In combination with Artemisia, this herb increases liver cell regeneration. This herb has also been shown to increase bile secretion.

DETOX-CLEANSING

Product: Liver Flush and Kidney Flush
If your horse has never been detoxified, please proceed as follows:
30cc of both Kidney and Liver Flush for 15 days, skip 15 days and repeat.
For maintenance in most horses treat them for 15 days with 30cc of both products 3 -4 times a year.
Treatment will depend on level of exposure to toxins, antibiotic and other veterinarian treatments.
Race horses for example are given Liver Flush daily and Kidney Flush for 10 day periods as frequently as once a month.
